If I were asked what my last meal on earth would be, it wouldn’t take seconds for me to spill out my answer. It’s simple.
My last meal on earth would definitely be either a cheesy pizza or a tomato sauce-filled pasta dish.
Growing up, I was always crazy about anything with cheese on it. As my taste buds developed, I learned to appreciate different kinds of cheeses (such as blue cheese, for example), different kinds of pasta sauces (from oil-based ones to creamy ones as well as tomato-based ones), and different styles of pizza.
Today, I enjoy most pizzas and pastas and I have my quirks when it comes to spaghetti, in particular. Maybe I’ll let you in on that foible of mine in one of my entries. Or maybe I won’t.
Anyway, I thought of coming up with this so-called “food blog” so I could chronicle my adventures with these two Italian favorites. Since I can’t claim to be a wine connoiseur, for example (I barely even drink, let alone know the difference between a Merlot or a Sauvignon) or be the expert when it comes to local delicacies around the Philippines (where I’ve lived since I was a fetus), I decided to just be real and write about what I really enjoy.
So stick around and hopefully you’ll also enjoy reading (and hopefully trying out) the pizzas or pastas featured in this blog.
